PRISON MINISTRY PRISON MINISTRIES exist in many faiths and denominations to help inmates get back on their feet. Our rector, Fr. David Archibald, is the volunteer Episcopal chaplain for the Diocese of Delaware at the Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown, Delaware. As chaplain, he meets with inmates and holds regular Holy Communion for the inmates. The Way Home, an ecumenical outreach program, was started by members of local Episcopal churches to help inmates who are leaving prison readjust to life in the free world. Fr. Archibald serves on the board of this organization. Volunteers from around the area help chaperone the House of Ruth, a half-way house in Millsboro for those released from prison with nowhere to go. Also, socks, underwear, and other garments are collected in church on an ongoing basis to be distributed to those leaving prison. For more information about Episcopal prison ministries, please contact Fr. Archibald.
